San Francisco 49ers: 7-Round 2019 mock draft after NFL Combine
By Cory Kinnan
Round 7, Pick 245: Yoshua Nijman, OT, Virginia Tech
With their seventh round selection and last pick in this mock draft, the 49ers take offensive tackle Yoshua Nijman from Virginia Tech. An unknown prospect before the combine, Nijman too, made himself attractive to NFL teams after his performance in Indianapolis last weekend. Even after playing for a power-five school, Nijman managed to go unnoticed to this point in the pre-draft process.
Measuring in at nearly 6-7 and weighing 324 pounds, Nijman is a massive but raw offensive line prospect that is worth taking a seventh round risk on. He carries a 34-inch wingspan as well, which is above average for starting tackles in the NFL. Size is not an issue for Nijman.
Nijman tested in the 91st percentile in the 20 yard shuttle and the 95th percentile in the broad jump. The big offensive lineman looked really smooth in his positional drills as well, showing great hip fluidity and lateral movement necessary to play at the next level.
While he is raw now, Nijman has the frame to be molded into something great.
With their last pick in the draft, the Niners take a low risk, high reward chance on the giant from Virginia Tech, Nijman and could potentially find a starting caliber offensive lineman.
