Seattle Seahawks: 7-Round 2019 mock draft after NFL Combine
By Cory Kinnan
Round 5, Pick 159: David Sills V, WR, West Virginia
With their final select in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Seahawks give Wilson another big body weapon outside the numbers in wide receiver David Sills V out of West Virginia. While Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett are locked up long-term and the team got good production from David Moore in 2018, it would be wise to add another receiver to the fold.
Measuring in at the combine at a little over 6-3 and 211 pounds, Sills has the size to body just about any corner on the outside. While he did not test off the charts athletically in Indianapolis last weekend, nobody expected him to; instead Sills met benchmarks that showed he can be a solid NFL receiver.
Breaking the 4.6-second mark on his 40-yard dash was probably the largest benchmark for Sills, hitting 4.57. In addition to his 40 time, he ranked in the top 75 percent of all wide receivers in the vertical jump with a leap of 37.5 inches.
Given his size compared to the rest of the Seattle receivers, it could be assumed that Sills would fit a certain mold for the Seahawks and look to see the field right away. Sills would be an excellent value pick for the Seahawks and conclude a solid haul of talented players if this mock came to fruition.
