Here is one key player each team must re-sign once NFL free agency 2019 officially begins this week.

Believe it or not, the start of the 2019 NFL free agency period will officially get underway this week, as things have already been wild, even if the new league year hasn’t technically gotten underway just yet.

From trying to determine if Landon Collins will return to the New York Giants after the team decided to not use the franchise tag on the safety to seeing if the Los Angeles Rams give it another go with Ndamukong Suh, plenty of questions will be answered soon.

However, in what shouldn’t come as a surprise to any football fan, the New England Patriots are one of the top teams to keep an eye on this week since the Super Bowl LIII champions have some tough decisions to make over possibly re-signing certain players.

While the case can be made that Trent Brown is the most important player worth the Patriots considering, it’s tough to take away the crown from Trey Flowers after looking at the impact he’s made on defense over the last couple of seasons.

Would New England love to bring Flowers back for another season since he’s only going to be 26 at the start of next season? Absolutely, but also that’s always easier said than done since the Patriots will need to compete with plenty of other teams looking to sign the defender as well.

Only time will tell when it comes to seeing where some of these stars end up for 2019, but to help prepare for the upcoming free agency period, let’s look at the top player from each team worth re-signing.
