NFL free agency is already underway but one popular name that’s still unsigned is Golden Tate. Here are three teams that have the best shot of landing him.

As 2019 NFL free agency is getting underway with the start of the legal tampering period, a lot of the bigger names have agreed to sign. The biggest news is the Steelers trading away Antonio Brown to the Raiders. Besides Brown, there is also a handful of talented, albeit not as star-studded, receivers looking for a new home. The biggest name of the bunch is Golden Tate.

Tate began his career with the Seahawks before heading to the Lions and, eventually, getting traded away to the Eagles. While it seemed like Tate would make an impact, he didn’t. It wasn’t meant to be with the Eagles, leaving Tate to become a free agent. At 30 years old, Tate definitely has the age and experience of a No. 1 receiver, but the Eagles just didn’t have a place for him.

What will be the Eagles loss is going to be another team’s gain. Tate has already garnered interest from multiple other teams and has even flirted a little with some. For now, he remains unsigned but not for long. Tate might not have the star power of Brown, but he played some of his best football in the last few years. Most notably, Tate had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with the Lions in 2016 and 2017.

With a lot of teams hungry for a wide receiver, Tate should have his pick of teams. Tate is easily the best available option for teams. He is a veteran guy but still has the ability to be a playmaker and make an impact immediately on a team. There are three teams in particular who would make great landing spots for Tate.
