Cole Beasley

Yes, the Raiders just made big news by acquiring Brown from the Steelers after months of the wide receiver publicly expressing his displeasure in Pittsburgh. However, the next best receiver behind him is over the hill Jordy Nelson, and beyond that, depth is a major issue at the wide receiver position in Oakland.

More from Las Vegas Raiders

With the Raiders’ most productive receiver being tight end Jared Cook one year ago, a massive overhaul is needed at the receiver position. Cole Beasley would provide a veteran presence as well a consistent pass catcher operating out of the slot. With two threats along the outside in Nelson and Brown now, Beasley could easily make a living over the middle of the field for the Raiders.

Another receiver publicly expressing their displeasure with their former team, Beasley stated that the Dallas Cowboys’ front office dictates who targets went to. In Oakland the sure handed security blanked could see a massive up-tick in production and targets.

Although he has never had a 1,000 yard season, a difficult feat to accomplish from the slot, Beasley has had over 65 catches two of the last three seasons and 12 touchdowns in that span of time. Entering the 2019 season at the age of 30, Beasley could be an ultra-productive target that could come at a bargain of a price.
