Shaq Barrett/Shane Ray

A pair of under-utilized teammates, formerly of the Denver Broncos, are both set to hit the market and seek for the opportunity to see a starting role at their next destination. Shaq Barrett or Shane Ray could jump to the division rival Raiders if presented with the best opportunity to their future.

While Ray entered the league with some red flags due to a failed drug test at the NFL Combine in 2015, he has remained relatively clean, yet unable to see the field in Denver. Especially after drafting Bradley Chubb with the fifth overall pick in the draft just a year ago, the edge rusher room got even more crowded for the Broncos. In just 15 games started, Ray has recorded a total of 14 sacks and 15 tackles for loss.

Barrett on the other hand has not had any off-the-field issues, but has also remained immersed in the depth of pass rushers that the Broncos had on their roster. He will only be 27 years old when the 2019 season rolls around and is gently used, so he has a lot left in the tank and even more to prove. Throughout his five year career, he has 14 career sacks and 25 tackles behind the line of scrimmage.

In desperate need of help getting after the quarterback, the Raiders could take a look at one of these division rival pass rushers set to hit the market. Both are young and gently used, but given their lack of production the price to obtain either one should not be extraordinary.
