Round 4 (105th overall): Myles Gaskin, RB, Washington

There is a possibility that Gang Green will move on from Isaiah Crowell, who ended the 2018 campaign on injured reserve. Whether they sign Le’Veon Bell or not, they need to add quality depth to the backfield. Gaskin rambled for 1,268 yards and 12 touchdowns for the University of Washington last season and is the Huskies’ career rushing leader with 5,323 yards and 57 touchdowns.

He only caught 65 passes in four years at Washington, so he’ll have to develop those skills moving forward but he’s a durable workhorse with elusive speed.

Round 5 (140th overall): Brandon Knight, OT, Indiana

Maccagnan finally addresses the offensive line by grabbing the 6-4, 314-pounder from the University of Indiana. Knight started 12 games at right tackle for the Hoosiers, earning honorable mention All-Big Ten honors in 2018. Brandon Shell is presently first on New York’s depth chart at right tackle, but he ended last year on injured reserve due to a knee injury. Knight might not be quite ready to start in the NFL, but he would be a capable backup in his rookie season.

Round 7 (218th overall): Charles Omenihu, DE, Texas

Seventh round picks are always a crap shoot but Omenihu has intriguing upside. The 6-5, 280-pounder is raw but has an NFL-ready frame. Omenihu paced the Texas Longhorns in tackles for loss (18) and sacks (9.5) last year to earn honorable mention All-Big 12 honors. Selecting Omenihu this late in the draft is well worth the gamble because if he continues to develop, he can become a starter in the NFL based on his explosive burst off the line, power and superior athleticism.
