The Denver Broncos have missed the playoffs three straight years. After losing some key performers in free agency, here’s some moves the team could make.

Back in 2015, the Denver Broncos parlayed one of the better season-long defensive performances in recent memory to a Super Bowl 50 championship. Since then, it’s been nothing but disappointment. Yes, the club did finish 9-7 year after their championship campaign, but that club won its first four games before slumping badly the remainder of the year.

The past two seasons, it was Vance Joseph at the controls. His debut in 2017 resulted in a disappointing 5-11 mark. This past year, the team was uneven at best. But with four games to go, the Broncos were riding a three-game winning streak and with a 6-6 record were in playoff contention.

But the team would not post a victory the remainder of the season. Regardless, the writing appeared to be on the wall in terms of Joseph’s future and he was cut loose by the club. Now in his place is well-traveled defensive whiz Vic Fangio, late of the Chicago Bears and an NFL head coach for the first time.

Of course, the biggest news surrounding the team since the end of the season was the acquisition of veteran quarterback Joe Flacco from the Baltimore Ravens. But over the past few days, the team has seen its share of arrivals and departures.

As for the former, the club has added versatile defensive back Kareem Jackson and tackle Ju’Waun James from the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins, respectively. But are there still some bargains to be had for a franchise looking to end its current postseason drought?
