The New York Giants are tearing it down after the Odell Beckham Jr. trade, and try to start their rebuild with this seven-round 2019 mock draft.

Things can change quickly in the NFL, and the New York Giants are living proof. It was clear that, entering the 2019 offseason, they needed to address the future at quarterback with Eli Manning inching closer to 40 years old and showing signs of it. However, after trading away Olivier Vernon and now Odell Beckham Jr., the Giants have entered full rebuild mode.

This isn’t to say that the Giants didn’t get anything in return for Vernon and Beckham. In the case of the former, Big Blue landed offensive guard Kevin Zeitler from the Browns, a move that helps shore up a weak interior offensive line group outside of Will Hernandez. For Beckham, New York brought in safety Jabrill Peppers (2017 first-round pick) in addition to the No. 17 and 95 picks in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Giving up Beckham at all has been heavily criticized as the Giants gave up one of the league’s premier receivers when they truly didn’t have to. But ruminating on that won’t make the Giants any better. Instead, they have to move on and build a team around 2018 second-overall pick, running back Saquon Barkley.

The 2019 NFL Draft will obviously be critical to New York being able to do that. They now have 12 draft picks to work with come the end of April, including two first-round picks. Obviously they still need to address the quarterback position, but they have plenty other holes on both sides of the ball that now need to be addressed.

In this seven-round mock draft for the Giants, things are going to get crazy, but they are going to fill the major holes on their roster in big ways. How do they do it? Let’s start with New York’s first selection of the draft, No. 6 overall, to find out.
