Among some of the other moves the New England Patriots made this past week were the additions of wide receivers Maurice Harris and Bruce Ellington of the Washington Redskins and Detroit Lions, respectively. The former played 12 games this past season and made seven starts.

He caught 28 passes for 304 yards but failed to reach the end zone. Ellington has made several stops around the league, playing for the San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans and Detroit Lions, and did not play football in 2016. His career totals read 79 receptions for 769 yards and five touchdowns.

While wide receiver Phillip Dorsett opted to re-sign with the club this week, versatile Cordarrelle Patterson opted to ink a deal with the Chicago Bears. Veteran Chris Hogan remains a free agent at the moment. Of course, Super Bowl LIII MVP Julian Edelman leads the charge here and the club is hoping 2018 sixth-round pick Braxton Berrios can take the field this year.

So what about one-time Seattle Seahawks’ wideout Jermaine Kearse, who spent the past two seasons in the AFC East with the New York Jets? He comes off a disappointing 2018 (37 catches for 371 yards and one touchdown) but could bounce back in a big way with some guy named Tom Brady throwing him the ball.
