1. Johnathan Abram, Mississippi State

The final player to look at here is Johnathan Abram of Mississippi State. The former Bulldog has already had a formal meeting with the Cowboys, so we know they’re interested in his services. He also fits what they need — and what they look for — more than any other prospect.

Abram is the same height as Sacavge, but he has a thicker build. He’s also known as a violent finisher who has no problems laying the ball carrier out. Even with the extra bulk and hard hits, Abram doesn’t lack speed.

He also did well in the 40-yard dash at the Combine as he was good for a 4.45 in that event. He’s also got great position flex like the other players mentioned as he played deep safety, in the box, and also as a corner in the slot.

With Dallas already employing a deep safety in Xavier Woods, adding an enforcer such as Abram could be their best move. He was originally part of the Georgia Bulldogs before transferring to Mississippi State where he developed his abilities and became one of the better prospects in the class.

His best campaign came in 2018 when Abram finished with 99 tackles and three sacks. He also added his first two career picks — which is an area he could improve upon, but there’s still no doubt he would be a solid starter for years in Dallas.
