After winning Super Bowl LII in 2017, the Philadelphia Eagles struggled to reach the playoffs. What available free agents could help this team?

Things can change an awful lot in today’s NFL from season to season. And perhaps there is no better example of them that than the Philadelphia Eagles, a team that is less than two years removed from its first Super Bowl title and first NFL championship since 1960.

This past season, the Eagles struggled for most of the year to even win two games in a row. Doug Peterson’s club owned a 4-6 record after 10 contests. A return to the postseason appeared to be quite the challenge.

But the team gathered itself, rallied down the stretch, in part behind their Super Bowl LII MVP signal-caller, Nick Foles, and returned to the postseason via the wild card route. The Eagles would knock off the NFC North champion Chicago Bears at Soldier Field and owned a 14-0 first-quarter lead over the New Orleans Saints at the Superdome before things came apart in a six-point loss in the Divisional Playoffs.

Now valuable backup quarterback Nick Foles is a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the team is going forward with young and talented three-year pro Carson Wentz behind center — if he can stay healthy.

It’s not like general manager Howie Roseman and the team have done nothing this offseason. In fact, quite the opposite. But there are still some good players on the open market and the Eagles may want to take a look at three more veterans who could be assets to the club.
