Round 2, Pick 50: Kelvin Harmon, WR, North Carolina State

After netting an offensive lineman in round one, Minnesota continues to add help for Kirk Cousins by taking NC State’s Kelvin Harmon at No. 50 overall. The Vikings have been in search of a No. 3 receiver for two years now, after former first-rounder Laquon Treadwell proved he isn’t what we all thought.

Harmon is a big-bodied (6-2, 221 pounds) possession receiver who has all the tools to play out on the perimeter. While he doesn’t have eye-popping athletic traits, Harmon is a true redzone threat that could take ample attention away from Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs if drafted. He’s been compared to the likes of Mohammad Sanu and Alshon Jeffery.

"“Harmon’s blend of size, physicality, ball skills and fluidity make him and ideal fit as an x-receiver in any scheme. By year three, Harmon has the upside to be relied upon as a true No. 1 receiver that keeps the chains moving, hits big plays and thrives in the redzone.” – The Draft Network’s Joe Marino"

There’s no guarantee Treadwell even makes the final 53-man roster in 2019, which is why the Vikings are in desperate need of a No. 3 receiver. Chad Beebe and Brandon Zylstra aren’t getting it done either. Harmon fits the bill.
