Trade rumors are heating up again for Josh Rosen, with the New England Patriots being a potential landing spot for the former first-round pick.

With the 2019 NFL Draft officially less than a month away, the Arizona Cardinals have a major decision to make in regards to Josh Rosen.

Around this time last year, the Cardinals were weighing their options at quarterback after Carson Palmer decided to call it a career by retiring. And while Sam Bradford was originally the short-term answer before the former No. 1 pick turned into a complete bust, Arizona still drafted Rosen in the first round of last year’s draft with the intention of him being the quarterback of the future.

One year later, the Cardinals find themselves in an interesting situation with the top overall pick since as tempting as it seems to give Rosen another chance to prove himself worthy, Kyler Murray would arguably be a major upgrade at the quarterback position.

Even if the argument can be made that it’s unfair to base Rosen’s potential off one rookie season in which Arizona didn’t exactly put him in the best position possible to succeed, the last thing the Cardinals want to do is look back, and regret passing on Murray.

If Arizona does end up considering trade options for the former UCLA star, the good news is there are a handful of teams that would love to give Rosen a shot, even if he were to start off as a backup.

That’s where the New England Patriots come into play, as the Super Bowl champions happen to be one of the rumored teams expressing potential interest in Rosen, as it’s safe to say the quarterback wouldn’t be mad one bit over joining the squad.

In fact, here are three reasons why the Patriots may be the best trade partner for Rosen for both the short and long-term run.
