The Philadelphia Eagles got an absolute steal in Jordan Howard to provide some much-needed help at running back.
Every offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles always seem to be one of those teams that pull off unexpected moves out of nowhere, with their latest being the trade with the Chicago Bears to bring Jordan Howard on board for the 2019 season.
For months, there have been rumors surrounding the Bears shopping Howard, and after the team signed Mike Davis in free agency, it seemed like only a matter of time before a trade finally took place since their backfield was way too crowded.
When looking at how Philadelphia only had to give up a future sixth-round pick that could potentially turn into a fifth rounder, the deal to land Howard could turn out to be one of the biggest steals from the offseason if all goes according to plan in 2019.
During the 2017 season when the Eagles took home their first Super Bowl title, their successful ground game led by a handful of running backs was one of the main reasons why the offense was able to put up so many points, especially in the NFC Championship and Super Bowl.
Could Howard end up being one of the missing pieces the Eagles were searching for last season in the backfield to put them in better position to make another run at the Super Bowl for the second time in three years?
Howard may not solve all of the problems Philadelphia is looking to address this offseason, but in honor of this epic trade, here are three reasons why this deal has the potential to be an absolute steal for the Eagles.
