2. Defense will be key for Arizona competing in NFC West

Whether they want to hear it or not, the Cardinals will most likely be in for another year of rebuilding in 2019 since this team clearly has areas in need of improvement on both sides of the football, even if they do end up going with Bosa at No. 1 in a few weeks.

Not to mention, Arizona plays in a NFC West division that could end up having three playoff contenders during the 2019 season, depending on a few key factors.

While the Los Angeles Rams are coming off a division title for a second year in a row, the Seattle Seahawks were also able to get back on track last season by earning one of the Wild Card spots in the NFC.

Based off early impressions in the offseason, there’s every reason to believe these two teams will continue being a top contender in the NFC, but also the San Francisco 49ers shouldn’t be ruled out either if Jimmy Garoppolo returns to full strength after suffering a torn ACL in 2018.

All things considered, it’s easy to understand why the Cardinals are the early favorites to finish on bottom of the NFC West once again next season when seeing how they compare to their rivals. But at least if Bosa were to become part of the picture, Arizona’s defense would have a better chance of competing against their rivals on offense.
