3 Reasons Denver Broncos should select Drew Lock at No. 10 pick

2. Denver’s defense deserves better
Ever since Peyton Manning decided to call it a career after the Broncos won a Super Bowl, the offense has struggled to find their next great quarterback to build the offense around, whether it was Brock Osweiler or Trevor Siemian.
Even this past season with Keenum, Denver finally felt confident enough they found the right quarterbacks that would come through on offense to take some of that extra pressure off the defensive side of the football.
Instead, the Broncos are coming off another disappointing season in which they missed out on the playoffs for a third year in a row, making some of their stellar play on the defensive side of the football led by Von Miller look like a complete waste.
Deep down, one can only imagine some of the frustration Miller must have been feeling at times over the last three years knowing that Denver’s defense has come through numerous times on their end, only to watch the offense end up coming short.
Maybe with someone like Lock, the Broncos could return to their way from the Manning era in which they had little trouble putting up points each week while the defense did their part as well by keeping opponents out of the end zone.
