The Green Bay Packers have a ton of needs in the 2019 NFL Draft. Here’s a best-case scenario mock draft that covers everything.

By this point you’ve undoubtedly seen dozens of mock drafts depicting which routes the Green Bay Packers could take during the 2019 NFL Draft. Each mock is different, creating new ideas and scenarios along the way.

In this depiction, we’ll go through a best-case scenario mock draft, where Green Bay ends up with extreme values and selections that best fit their needs at each spot. It’s important to remember each selection is merely a thought-exercise. While this draft may not be the most realistic, it still creates a dialogue for possible ‘what if’ scenarios.

The Packers currently hold 10 selections in this year’s draft. While they didn’t receive any compensatory selections, the Packers still garnered three extra draft picks from other teams via trade. Green Bay holds four picks in the top 75. Here’s a full breakdown of each of their selections:

Round 1, Pick 12
Round 1, Pick 30 (from New Orleans)
Round 2, Pick 44
Round 3, Pick 75
Round 4, Pick 114
Round 4, Pick 118 (from Washington)
Round 5, Pick 150
Round 6, Pick 185
Round 6, Pick 194 (from Seattle)
Round 7, Pick 226

It seems unlikely that general manager Brian Gutekunst would use all 10 selections. A scenario where he packages a pair of picks to move up and grab a player who’s falling down the board is all but guaranteed. In fact, it’s not out of the question that Gutekunst would use both first-rounders to move into the top 10.

But that’s another discussion for another day. In this best-case scenario mock draft, we’ll be using all 10 selections. Each selection may not necessarily be based on need, but rather how valuable a player could be in the future. The Packers have several key players with expiring contracts next year (i.e. Mike Daniels, Blake Martinez, Dean Lowry), so drafting based on projection is most beneficial.

With that said, let’s get into the mock draft.
