Here are five head coaches that should consider themselves on the hot seat heading into the 2019 NFL Draft.

Normally at this point in the offseason with the 2019 NFL Draft only a few weeks away, teams aren’t considering the possibility of firing their head coach since anyone who was considering the possibility went ahead and did so back in January.

However, just because certain coaches are safe at the moment doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t be facing heavy pressure over the next couple of months, especially when the draft gets underway.

Take a look at Mike Zimmer for example after the Minnesota Vikings were originally viewed as heavy Super Bowl contenders in the NFC heading into last season before they failed to even earn a Wild Card spot.

Even heading into Week 17, the Vikings just needed to defeat the Chicago Bears in front of their own fans to lock up one of the two spots in the NFC, and Zimmer’s squad couldn’t even accomplish that.

One year after falling just shy of earning a trip to the Super Bowl after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship, the addition of Kirk Cousins was supposed to take Minnesota to a whole new level contender wise.

Instead, the Vikings will enter the 2019 season as one of the teams facing the most pressure to earn a trip to the playoffs, meaning the upcoming draft is going to be extremely important for Zimmer since the last thing he wants is to put his job at risk.
