The reigning AFC North champions have seen their share of departures this year. Can the Baltimore Ravens still find a few good men in free agency?

The transformation is nearly complete and the Baltimore Ravens are much different football team than the one that opened the season a year ago against the Buffalo Bills. The now-defending AFC North champions made the transition late last year midseason last year when veteran quarterback Joe Flacco was forced to the sidelines with a hip injury.

Enter 2018 first-round draft choice Lamar Jackson and add a dramatic change in the offensive game plan. The club won six of its final seven games and won a division title for the first time since the franchise’s last Super Bowl season in 2012. But for the first time under head coach John Harbaugh, the Ravens were one-and-out in the postseason courtesy of a 23-17 home loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card Round.

It’s now a new year and a new beginning in a lot of ways. Flacco is now a member of the Denver Broncos via trade. And as expected, the team’s new general manager is Eric DeCosta. This offseason, a number of noted veterans left the organization either by choice or via decisions by the front office. And Greg Roman was promoted to offensive coordinator as the transition to an offense geared around Jackson’s talents continue.

The Ravens added veterans such as free safety Eric Thomas and running back Mark Ingram via free agency. But is DeCosta and the team done spending money until the draft? These three performers could help the club.
