We are just about three weeks from the 2019 NFL Draft, and the draft board of the Oakland Raiders looks much different than it did just a month ago.
The Oakland Raiders were big spenders in free agency, and now they have a drastically different with three weeks to go leading up to the 2019 NFL Draft. The Raiders own three first rounders and eight total picks at this moment, and while they may not select eight players, they certainly have plenty of assets to play around with.
After losing leading receiver and starting tight end Jared Cook to the New Orleans Saints, the Raiders will add that need to their draft board, and luckily, this is a deep class of tight ends for Oakland to pick from.
Even after signing offensive tackle Trent Brown to a rich contract, the Raiders still have holes to fill on the interior of the line after trading Kelechi Osemele to the New York Jets. Other needs that should be a priority for the Raiders include the depth along the defensive line, cornerback, and potentially another linebacker.
The silver and black have a rich tradition and history, but with only another year or two before the Raiders move to Las Vegas, they must add some unique talent in order to win over the favor of the new fans in Nevada as well as attempt to maintain the fandom of the people of Oakland even after they leave.
Who could they be targeting in the upcoming draft? Let’s see what happens in a new seven-round 2019 NFL mock draft about three weeks away from the start of the festivities in Nashville.
