The last player we look at is another name from the Cowboys list of pre-draft visitors is Boston College safety Will Harris. His name is easy to overlook considering some of the big names at the position. With Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Taylor Rapp, and Johnathan Abram coming to town, Harris seems like a player who could be forgotten about — even though he shouldn’t be.

While Harris doesn’t have the same shine as some of the other prospects, he’s still an incredibly talented player who is built to have a long NFL career. In his four seasons with the Golden Eagles, Harris recorded 225 tackles and five interceptions. He was able to play both free safety and strong safety in that time, which is something that appeals to the Cowboys.

In the system run by Rod Marinelli and Kris Richard, the safeties are often interchangeable and they value cover skills over anything else. For Harris, this is where he shines as he can keep up with just about any tight end there is.

Harris also had a very good combine, running 4.41 seconds in the 40-yard dash, getting 20 reps on the bench press, and 36.5-inch vertical. He may need to start on special teams, which is fine given the recent signing of George Iloka, but the future is bright for this kid.
