Game of Thrones NFL mock draft: Top prospects in Westeros and beyond
3. Khal Drogo, EDGE, Vaes Dothrak
Though he was only in the spotlight for one season, it’s hard not to be impressed with what Khal Drogo put on tape and the stats that he has working in his favor. He never lost a battle in hand-to-hand combat, he has tremendous flexibility and bend when he’s fighting and he has the frame of a true Adonis that just looks like a guy who was built to burst off the edge and try to get after the quarterback.
Not only does he have the physical tools and an arsenal of moves working in his favor, you have to love the mentality of Drogo. He is relentless, confident and violent when he attacks, which is the type of competitive desire you want to see on a snap-to-snap basis from your pass rushers. If he can hone some of his raw traits, he can be a playmaking force on defense.
Just don’t let the trainers use any blood magic to try and heal him if he gets injured.
4. Pyatt Pree, CB, Qarth
Pyatt Pree — the Warlock of Qarth and a member of the Thirteen — might not be a prospect that many fans of Game of Thrones are completely familiar with. He made his only showing in the series during season 2 as he tried to take control of Qarth and Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons. While that plight was unsuccessful, he showed some real traits that could make him a nightmare for wide receivers and pass-catchers.
As seen in the above scene, Pree has the uncanny ability to replicate himself on the field. Put simply, he can be everywhere all at once. That sounds like an impossible task for both wide receivers to try and get open against and for quarterbacks to try and throw around. Pree has the innately magical coverage abilities that can drive opposing offensive coordinators crazy and, despite some character red flags, he’s too valuable of a prospect to let slide.
