TE Andrew Beck, Texas

Tight end Andrew Beck (6-4, 260 pounds) may be the best blocking tight end in the entire 2019 draft. The Packers already held a pre-draft visit with Beck last week. After re-signing tight end Marcedes Lewis earlier in the offseason, Green Bay may be looking for a future replacement who can hold up as a blocker in the run game. Lewis signed a one-year deal and turns 35 in May.

"“Andrew Beck projects as a potential TE2 in the NFL. Beck doesn’t have the athletic skill set to be ‘the man’ in a tight end room, but his effective blocking in both pass protection and in the run game will serve an NFL franchise kindly.” – The Draft Network’s Kyle Crabbs"

Beck didn’t have an impressive college career as a receiver, but teams looking to draft him wouldn’t be asking too much when it comes to that aspect of his game. The Packers have a clear need at tight end, seeing as though both Lewis and Jimmy Graham may not be on the roster next season. Promising backup Robert Tonyan remains the lone wolf on the depth chart.

Beck would likely face an uphill battle to make the Packers’ roster if they drafted him, but he could be a good candidate to become a member of the 10-man practice squad. Beck played in 50 games for Texas (29 starts) and was a two-time team captain.
