After the season ended for the Chiefs, more bad news about one of their players broke. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill is under investigation for an incident in March that may have involved child abuse. Such news is troubling for any player, but Hill came into the league with red flags after pleading guilty to a domestic battery charge while playing collegiately.

The Chiefs are letting the process play out, but there’s a lot of uncertainty around his status going forward. If he does end up being unavailable there’s very limited experience on the roster outside of Sammy Watkins — and Watkins has had trouble staying healthy as well.

Knowing this, Kansas City could be inclined to look at wide receivers in the draft. One potential fit is Marquise Brown who was a big play waiting to happen while playing for the Oklahoma Sooners. The cousin of Antonio Brown, “Hollywood: Brown worked his way from junior college to star at Oklahoma — and even held a job at Six Flags Magic Mountain to pay his way to the College of the Canyons.

In his junior season, Brown had 1,318 yards and 10 touchdowns as he proved to be one of the best receivers in the nation. He could give Patrick Mahomes another huge weapon while also helping to lessen the blow should they lose Hill for any amount of time.
