The New York Giants need more than just a quarterback in the 2019 NFL Draft, so who could Dave Gettleman target outside of that position come late-April?

New York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman set the NFL world ablaze with a giant trade. The Giants shipped Odell Beckham Jr. to the Browns for Jabrill Peppers and the 17th and 95th picks in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Now, Eli Manning is without his most dangerous weapon. Considering how poorly Manning played last season, that’s not a good thing.  However, there’s some light at the end of the tunnel. The Beckham trade could end up landing the Giants Manning’s successor.

The Giants could trade for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen using a second round pick or No. 17 overall. They can also package the sixth overall pick and a second-rounder to move up to draft Dwayne Haskins. If you follow Gettleman’s history, the latter isn’t likely to happen.

Additionally, the giant hole left by the Beckham trade was somewhat filled by Golden Tate. While he brings versatility to an offense that can use it, he’s not enough. Even with Evan Ingram and the sensational Saquon Barkley, Tate and Shepard as a duo aren’t scaring anyone.

Upfront, the Giants have done a lot to improve their offensive line. However, there’s still a void at right tackle. Their entire front seven could use some help. Leonard Floyd is the sole pass rusher since Gettleman traded Olivier Vernon to the Browns.

Moreover, the Giants lost former Pro Bowl safety Landon Collins to their division rivals, the Washington Redskins. To counter the loss they signed former Cardinal Antoine Bethea, but he’s 34 years old.

The cornerback position also needs an upgrade. Strategically, the New York Giants have a pair of first-round picks, totaling four picks in the first four rounds. Gettleman should have quarterback of the future penciled in somewhere on their big board, but where else should he look to address.

The 2019 NFL Draft has more than a few players who can help the G-Men. Here are a few prospects Giants fans should keep an eye on.
