Round 4, Pick 121: Nate Davis, IOL, Charlotte

The Titans saw both guards, Quinton Spain and Josh Kline, leave in free agency, but made a huge pickup in Rodger Saffold. However, they need to address the depth at the position, and do so with a high-upside pick that could pay off big down the line. Nate Davis is still somewhat of a ball of clay, showing terrific mobility and power in his time at Charlotte, but needing to refine his technique. As Tennessee won’t need him on Day 1, this is a great spot for him that should allow him time to develop.

Round 5, Pick 157: Saivion Smith, CB, Alabama

Cornerback has been a focus for Tennessee in recent years, signing Logan Ryan and Malcolm Butler in addition to selecting Adoree’ Jackson in the first round. In the fifth round, however, they make an upside pick to add some more depth to the roster by nabbing Saivion Smith. He’s another player that needs work with his technique, but has the physical tools to eventually develop into a usable piece on the defensive side of the ball. His tackling could see him contribute early on special teams.

Round 6, Pick 188: Evan Worthington, S, Colorado

There isn’t a dire need at safety in Nashville with Kevin Byard and Kenny Vaccaro in place and a developmental prospect in Dane Cruikshank (a 2018 fifth-rounder) behind him. However, with few needs and looking for late gems in the sixth round, the Titans take on another in Evan Worthington.

Worthington isn’t ready to play Day 1, but that works out fine for Tennessee. His physical profile gives him the ability to play at either safety spot and succeed. All he needs is time to hone his craft and develop a better football IQ, which would see him become a tremendous value with this draft position.
