The Chicago Bears have just a few picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, and they have to make sure that every pick is a wise one, avoiding prospects like these three.

After a series of trades over the past two seasons, the Chicago Bears find themselves with just five picks in the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft. With so few holes on the roster following their playoff berth in 2018 (even with their untimely early exit), the Bears can afford to be selective.

When it comes to the players in this draft class, there are a lot of guys that are near can’t miss prospects. Unfortunately, those guys are likely going to be long gone by the time the Bears ever go on the clock for their first selection in the third round.

The Bears’ first pick doesn’t come up until No. 88 overall. They can afford to add another edge rusher to deepen their rotation. Moreover, they would be smart to add another backup offensive lineman for this season that could possibly develop into a future starter for them if someone were to walk during future offseasons.

Chicago general manager Ryan Pace has done a masterful job of making a roster that can compete on any given week. He’ll have to do some of his best work to get anyone that can contribute right away with the limited selections he has left himself.

When he goes up to turn his picks in, he has to make sure that none of these three guys are on those cards. If they are, they’ll likely turn into wasted picks.
