Pittsburgh Steelers: 7-Round 2019 NFL mock draft focuses on secondary

Round 3, Pick 83: T.J. Edwards, LB, Wisconsin
Another position of need for Pittsburgh is in the middle of their 3-4 defense. Ever since they lost Ryan Shazier, they haven’t been as strong at inside linebacker. This season, there aren’t a lot of big stars in this area but they could find contributors near the end of day two.

With their second pick in the third round, they add one of the more underrated linebackers in the draft in T.J. Edwards. In four seasons at Wisconsin, Edwards never had less than 81 tackles in a season and recorded 10 career picks.
Round 4, Pick 122: Trayveon Williams, RB, Texas A&M
James Conner did enough while filling in for Le’Veon Bell last season to prove he can be the starter going forward. However, he did miss a few games due to injury which reminds Pittsburgh that they need to keep adding depth. Here, they do that with Trayveon Williams from Texas A&M.
Williams is coming off a spectacular season that saw him go for 1,760 yards and 18 touchdowns for the Aggies. He’s a much different runner than Conner who is simply a bulldozer but that could make him a great compliment to their new feature back. Williams is also a stud in pass protection, which is a plus for the offense run by the Steelers.
