The Minnesota Vikings can bolster their roster by selecting these players in the 2019 NFL Draft. Find out who they picked in this latest 7-round mock draft.

The Minnesota Vikings still have one of the NFL’s strongest teams on paper, but after a disappointing 2018 they’ll need to re-tool some holes. In this latest 2019 mock draft, we’ll take you through all seven rounds, pick by pick, selecting players that make sense for the Vikings.

Minnesota lost Sheldon Richardson, Latavius Murray, Nick Easton and Marcus Sherels in free agency this offseason, so it makes sense to start there for positional needs. Defensive line, tight end, safety and (obviously) offensive line are the main concerns entering the draft.

General manager Rick Spielman has done an excellent job of building the Vikings’ cornerstones through the draft in recent years. Anthony Barr, Stefon Diggs, Trae Waynes, Xavier Rhodes, Eric Kendricks, Kyle Rudolph and Dalvin Cook are all home-grown talents. Of course, Adam Thielen wasn’t technically drafted, but he still counts for something.

Here’s a list of Minnesota’s current selections in the upcoming draft:

Round 1, Pick 18
Round 2, Pick 50
Round 3, Pick 81
Round 4, Pick 120
Round 6, Pick 190
Round 6, Pick 209 (compensatory selection)
Round 7, Pick 247 (compensatory selection)
Round 7, Pick 250

The Vikings have eight selections in the 2019 NFL Draft. From a distance, it seems like a lot. But Minnesota only has three picks in the top 100, with exactly half of their selections occurring in the sixth and seventh rounds. Hitting on their first three picks will be crucial.

Spielman could also package some late-rounders or his fourth-rounder to trade up into the late-third round. After all, anything after that is seemingly a dart throw anyway. The success rate for draft picks that pan out after the fourth round drops dramatically, so don’t be surprised to see the Vikings make a move.

There won’t be any trades in this mock draft, though, so we’ll do our best to find some late round gems. Here’s the latest full 7-round 2019 mock draft for the Minnesota Vikings.
