The Dallas Cowboys add a lot of talent to the defensive side of the ball in this seven-round 2019 NFL Mock Draft with less than a week remaining

We are less than a week away from the 2019 NFL Draft and Dallas Cowboys fans are going to have to exercise patience as they sit and watch as their favorite team doesn’t participate in the first round.

They won’t be alone in that suffering as director of player personnel Stephen Jones said he and his father, owner Jerry Jones, find it “painful” to sit back and watch the events unfold.

Jones went on to clarify that they have no remorse whatsoever as they ended up with Amari Cooper with the pick they surrendered in the upcoming draft.

"“I don’t think there is any buyers remorse there,” Stephen Jones said via Clarence Hill of the Star-Telegram. “I think we are really pleased we made that move. But as Jerry said it’s painful to go through a draft without a No. 1 pick. We have looked at each other before and said we would never do that again. But certainly, after we have gone through the receivers and looked at that. I think we are very happy with where we have ended up in terms of what we could get at our pick in terms of a receiver or any other player in terms of what we ended up with with Amari.”"

Jones has also discussed the team wanting to find a starter with their first pick, which comes at No. 58 overall. That could be easier said than done, but it won’t stop us from trying to do just that with this seven-round 2019 NFL mock draft with less than one week remaining before the real thing takes place.
