55. . LB. Ohio State Buckeyes. Ryan Shazier. 15. player

Original Pick: Ryan Shazier, LB, Ohio State Buckeyes

This pick was a hard one to evaluate, as Ryan Shazier has lived up to his hype after running a 4.3 second 40 yard dash at his pro day and setting the combine on fire.

However, he has also missed the past year and a half and may not see the football field again after suffering a spinal injury in 2017 in a game against the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals. Here, the Pittsburgh Steelers stick with Shazier, as imagination has to set in as to where the linebacker would be if he did not suffer a devastating injury.

Before his injury, Shazier was coming off a Pro Bowl season and was well on his way to another in 2017, too. In three and a half seasons with the Steelers, Shazier tallied seven interceptions and 25 passes defended.

He had three interceptions apiece in the last year and a half he spent on the field before succumbing to a potential career-ending injury. The athletic Buckeye linebacker has also forced seven fumbles throughout his career, recorded seven sacks and 24 tackles for loss as well.

The Steelers have signed Shazier to an extension in hopes that he can see the field again, but he will not be strapping up his helmet in 2019 after missing all of last season as well. It is unknown whether he can ever play again or not, but his recovery has been nothing short of amazing.
