9. Buffalo Bills: Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama

This offseason, the Buffalo Bills have gone out and tried to add some help at wide receiver for their quarterback as Cole Beasley and John Brown look to give Josh Allen more options than he had during his rookie season.

Even with limited options as a rookie, the former Wyoming gunslinger showed promise in 2018. He needs polish as a passer, but was 5-6 as a starter and had an impressive 631 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground which was much better than expected.

Now with Beasley and Brown, he could have a solid slot receiver who excels on third downs as well as a deep threat — which is the kind of pass Allen loves to let rip. What Buffalo needs to do now is continue to make Allen comfortable in the offense as he continues to progress. Receivers surely help, but even better for a quarterback is the presence of a strong left tackle who can protect his blind side.

For that, they turn to Jonah Williams from Alabama. One of the best left tackles in the nation last season, Williams was a three-year starter on one of the best teams in the nation. He’s a highly intelligent player with a tireless work ethic who has gotten better every season that he’s played. Adding someone of his caliber gives Allen the protection he needs to take his next step with his development.
