10. Denver Broncos: Drew Lock, QB, Missouri

There’s a chance the Denver Broncos could elect to go a different route than quarterback here since they added Joe Flacco in the offseason and have had troubles getting the most out of their young signal callers. However, it’s not very likely they skip on one this season considering Flacco’s age and his recent decline in play.

If they do indeed go for a gunslinger, expect it to be Drew Lock. General manager John Elway is reportedly smitten with the Missouri product and apparently, the feeling is mutual as Lock appreciates the fact that a Hall of Fame quarterback believes he has the tools to be a success.

"“To think that he’s trying to evaluate me to possibly be the quarterback for his team … that’s just something you dream about as a kid,” Lock told Justin Adams and Brandon Krisztal on Orange and Blue 760 according to the Denver Broncos official website"

Lock’s numbers as a junior were slightly better than his senior campaign. That season he threw 44 touchdown passes and had nearly 4,000 yards. While he did have 16 fewer touchdowns, Lock was more efficient and protected the ball better in 2018. Overall, he’s farther along as a pro prospect than both Haskins and Murray and has the kind of cannon arm Elway loves which makes him the ideal pick at this spot.
