2019 NFL Draft: Final complete 7-round mock draft as Kyler Murray still goes No. 1
By Randy Gurzi
11. Cincinnati Bengals: Devin White, LB, LSU
With a new head coach in town, it’s hard to predict exactly what direction the Cincinnati Bengals will go. Zac Taylor has an offensive background which could have him leaning to that side with the No. 11 pick. Then again, he could also believe that he has enough to work with on offense with Andy Dalton, A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert, Joe Mixon, and Tyler Boyd all on the team. That’s enough firepower to move the ball on offense and win some games, as long as the defense plays up to par.
That could be challenging this season considering the fact that their linebacker corps is thin after they released Vontaze Burfict and look unlikely to bring back Vincent Rey. The problems there can be all but alleviated with this pick though as Devin White is the top-rated linebacker in the 2019 NFL Draft.
White started his football career as a running back but converted to linebacker and despite still learning the position in college, he was a monster at LSU. Considered a technician who studies the game, White is also blessed with insane speed which has him flying around the field to make plays. Some have him cracking the top-10 and that’s very likely, especially if a team like Tampa Bay decides against a defensive lineman. In this mock though, he slides just outside of there and is a great value at this spot.
