1. Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma

After going 10th overall last season, former UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen is reportedly on the trading block with the Cardinals owning the No. 1 pick — which they’re reportedly leaning toward using on Kyler Murray. In fact, they recently met with the young gunslinger and his agent, which could be telling.

For Arizona, they not only could talk contract with Murray’s people — team’s with the No. 1 pick are allowed to enter negotiations — but they should also bring up desire. Murray played baseball in college and was drafted into the Major Leagues, which led to some concern about which way he was headed with his future.

He’s said all the right things about wanting to play football and as long as the Cards are happy with his word, they will likely pick him. New head coach Kliff Kingsbury made it no secret that he’s a fan of his and his style of play calling could help Murray flourish at the NFL level.

The next question becomes what is fair compensation for Rosen. General manager Steve Keim did trade up for him last season so it’s not likely he will want to part with him for nothing. Look for Rosen’s value to go up though when someone misses out on a first-round pick quarterback this season.
