4. Oakland Raiders: Josh Allen, EDGE, Kentucky

Whether it’s Quinnen Williams or Josh Allen at No. 3, the Oakland Raiders should pounce on whatever player is still on the board when they come up to grab their first of three picks in the first round. Here at No. 4, they end up with the Kentucky edge rusher thanks to the Jets grabbing Williams.

Allen was a highly regarded player following the 2017 season and very well could have been a first-round selection had he decided to forgo his senior campaign. Instead, he went back for one final year with the Wildcats and he ended up putting up his best work. Allen finished with QB sacks which were more than he had in 2016 and 2017 combined.

He also increased his tackle total by 22 on the year and proved he’s a complete defensive end prospect rather than just a guy who produces in the pass rush department.

In Oakland, Allen is going to have some massive shoes to fill. Last season they parted with former NFL Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack — and the defense as a whole looked lost without him. Allen is going to be asked to fill that void which won’t be easy. He’s going to be a solid player but the hope will be that the Raiders don’t expect too much out of him too quickly.
