Round 3: Pick 1 – Christian Miller, EDGE, Alabama; Pick 2 -Chuma Edoga, OT, USC

The safe and traditional strategy continues in the third round. Jacksonville selects Christian Miller to be a pass rusher. Next, they select Chuma Edoga, a tackle from Southern California.

Miller is a relentless pass rusher from Alabama. Last season, he recorded eight sacks through 14 games. Miller is similar to Yannick Ngakoue, physically. Miller stands 6-3, weighing 247 pounds. Ngakoue stands 6-2, weighing 242 pounds. How great it would be to have Miller and Ngakoue as bookend edge rushers?

Edoga gives the Jaguars another offensive lineman. He played right tackle in college. Edoga could immediately push for the starting job. He stands 6-3, weighing 308 pounds. At the Combine, he ran a 5.19-second 40-yard dash. He bench pressed 225 pounds 21 times. He was given the grade of 5.65 by Zierlein of nfl.com which means he has the ability to start as a rookie.

Through three rounds, the Jaguars have selected four players that are able to give an immediate impact to the team. They are safe and traditional selections with low risk and high reward possibilities.
