Denver Broncos: John Elway, Terrell Davis, Shannon Sharpe, Von Miller
There’s one name that’s an absolute no-brainer for the Denver Broncos and that’s John Elway. Not only is he the most popular Bronco of all-time, but he has roughly 35,000 more passing yards than anyone else to ever quarterback for this team.
Elway was always fun to watch thanks to his combination of a strong arm and impressive mobility, but it was near the end of his career when he did his best work. Elway ended up winning back-to-back Super Bowls in his final two years with the Broncos.
Since then, he moved into the front office and got them to two more Super Bowls as a general manager. His greatest move as an executive was landing Peyton Manning, who also won a title for Denver and then promptly retired.
During Elway’s two Super Bowl wins as a player, he was able to rely on the best running back the team has ever had in Terrell Davis. A former NFL MVP, Davis made three Pro Bowls and is now in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Also in the Pro Football Hall of Fame is Shannon Sharpe, who played tight end for 10 seasons with Broncos and was also a part of their first two championship runs. Sharpe finished his career in the Mile High City with 675 receptions for 8,439 yards and 55 touchdowns. On top of those stats, he had a legendary trash talk game that was contagious.
For the last spot, edge rusher Von Miller edges out Peyton Manning. While Manning played arguably the best football of his career in Denver, Miller is already No. 1 in their franchise history with 98 sacks. He was also the MVP of Super Bowl 50 after he had six tackles, 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in their win over the Carolina Panthers.
