The Seattle Seahawks picked up an extra first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft with the Frank Clark trade, but how do they use it in this final mock draft?

On Tuesday, just two days before the start of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks shook things up around the league. With rumors going around that they could trade defensive end Frank Clark, who they hit with the franchise tag earlier in the offseason, they made a deal. The Seahawks sent Clark to the Kansas City Chiefs in a big-time trade that will have big draft implications.

In return for Clark, the Seahawks receive the No. 29 pick in the 2019 draft, swap picks (moving to No. 92 from No. 84) in the third round and also add a 2020 second-round pick. The additional first-round selection is massively important for the Seahawks, though.

Not only is general manager John Schenider now going to have the ability to add two top-30 players in the 2019 NFL Draft now, but the Seahawks now have more capital to work with. Prior to the trade, Seattle had just four selections in the upcoming draft. While the deal moves them up to just five, having all of those come in the first five rounds means they can add high-quality talent.

Of course, the Seahawks are a team that needs to hit on all five of those picks. Though they were a playoff team a year ago, this isn’t a team without big holes. They are lacking in the secondary, the Clark trade leaves them wanting in regards to the defensive end spot and the ever-present need on the offensive line is still glaring to anyone — except for maybe the Seahawks, given their recent drafts.

With an additional pick now in their arsenal, though, now feels the perfect time to offer up the final 7-round 2019 mock draft for teh Seattle Seahawks. How do they fill their holes now that they have an extra first-round pick? Let’s find out.
