2. Consider Sanders in the second round

Replacing a running back like Saquon Barkley comes with a high level of pressure that most players can’t even imagine dealing with, but Miles Sanders deserves a ton of credit for coming through in a big way during his final season at Penn State.

After limited action over his first two years with the Nittany Lions as a result of playing behind Barkley, Sanders would end up rushing for 1,274 yards with nine touchdowns as a junior in 2018, showing all sorts of potential for the NFL.

Then again, the argument can be made that it’s difficult to determine the potential surrounding Sanders since he did only have one year of starting experience at Penn State, which is why the chances of him being available on Day 2 are pretty high.

With Oakland having a few other running backs on the roster at the moment such as Isaiah Crowell and Jalen Richard, Sanders could even benefit from sharing carries with Raiders running backs to help take off unnecessary pressure as a rookie.

By holding the No. 35 pick, the good news for the Raiders is if Sanders did become a serious second-round option to consider, they would be able to give him a look right away.
