The Dallas Cowboys look to defend their NFC East title and add plenty of talent in this 7-round 2019 NFL Mock Draft as they pursue that goal

It’s never fun having to sit and watch all the action unfold in the first round of the draft while your team is without a pick. That’s exactly what the Dallas Cowboys will have to endure when the 2019 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday night in Nashville, Tennessee.

Barring a trade back into the opening round, the Cowboys will be spectators Day 1 as their first pick will come at No. 58 overall on Friday night. While the team’s shot-callers have discussed how painful this will be, they surely are happy with the player they obtained for their surrendered pick.

Following a 3-4 start to the 2018 season, Dallas realized their offense needed a shot in the arm. Their passing game wasn’t striking fear into anyone and it was having a negative impact on the entire team.

The running game struggled as defenses stacked the box, Dak Prescott was having issues finding his receivers, and even the defense was tiring as the chains weren’t being moved on offense.

Dallas alleviated much of the problem by picking up Amari Cooper from the Oakland Raiders in exchange for what wound up being the No. 27 overall pick — although many thought it would be a top-10 selection when the deal was made. The result was an NFC East title and a win in the first round of the playoffs, which made it worth the investment.

Even without the pick they gave up for Cooper, Dallas is looking to add more talent and take their next step. Here we predict how things will unfold and attempt to help them stay on top with this 7-round 2019 NFL Mock Draft.
