63. Kansas City Chiefs (via L.A. Rams): Terry McLaurin, WR, Ohio State

With the pick the Chiefs got from the Rams in exchange for Marcus Peters, they address the wideout position — which has been in the news for them for all the wrong reasons. Tyreek Hill has been under investigation for child abuse and while he hasn’t been charged, there were some awful audio recordings released which put his future in doubt.

Kansas City adds some insurance here with Terry McLaurin who was a deep threat for the Buckeyes and should be able to do the same thing for Kansas City at the next level.

64. New England Patriots: Will Grier, QB, West Virginia

There’s a chance the Patriots could decide to pick up Josh Rosen, who is suddenly out of a job with the Cardinals. Or, the Patriots could go a different route and draft a young quarterback to groom behind Tim Brady. Here, they close out the second round by going the second route.

Will Grier isn’t going to wow anyone with his traits, but he’s an accurate passer who is very mature and a strong team leader. The Patriots understand how important those traits are and could have their heir to Brady — assuming he ever actually does retire.
