35. Oakland Raiders: Greedy Williams, CB, LSU

The Mike Mayock era as general manager began with some raised eyebrows as he and head coach Jon Gruden selected Clemson defensive end Clelin Ferrell, which many felt was a reach at No. 4 overall — although it did meet a major need which was created when they traded away Khalil Mack last season.

After sending all their scouts home, the new brass in Oakland was back on the clock at No. 24 to get Josh Jacobs and 27 to snatch up Johnathan Abram from Mississippi State. The duo is back at it here at No. 35, where they select cornerback Greedy Williams. It was odd to see a player many thought was the premier corner slip out of Round 1, but that becomes the Raiders’ gain.

36. San Francisco 49ers: A.J. Brown, WR, Ole Miss

With the second pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers got themselves an edge rusher in Joey Bosa. The Ohio State defensive end became the third Bosa taken in the first round as his brother, Joey Bosa was taken third overall by the Chargers in 2016 and his dad, John Bosa went 16th to the Miami Dolphins in 1987.

Now, they add A.J. Brown which gives them a new star for the offensive side of the ball. Brown was recently working out with 49ers great Jerry Rice and now gets a chance to shine in the city where Rice became a legend.
