2019 NFL Draft: Day 2 mock draft after completing first round
By Randy Gurzi
37. Seattle Seahawks (via New York Giants): Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida
The Giants traded this pick to the Seattle Seahawks to get back into the first round and picked up a third player in the opening round in the process. For Seattle, they ended up with another pick in that round and caused some shoulder shrugs by selecting TCU defensive lineman L.J. Collier.
That pick was a bit of a reach, just like it was when they took Rashaad Penny last season. However, all is forgiven as they land an absolute mauler of an offensive lineman here in Jawaan Taylor out of Florida. He’s a player who had top-15 talent but slipped into this round with concerns about a knee issue. He shouldn’t last long.
38. Jacksonville Jaguars: Yodny Cajuste, OT, West Virginia
Tom Coughlin may be sending a fruit basket to Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock. After they passed on Josh Allen, it left the Kentucky pass rusher on the board for the taking and the Jags jumped at the chance to bring him to Jacksonville. That solidifies their pass rush, and with the addition of Nick Foles in free agency, this looks like a team to watch in the AFC this season.
Now they add someone to help keep Nick Foles upright in Yodny Cajuste. Like many of the others mentioned here, Cajuste appeared to be a first day talent but he had a quad injury that may have scared some teams off.
