39. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Nasir Adderley, S, Delaware

They lost some linebackers in free agency and then found the best in this class as Devin White was the pick at No. 5 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now back on the clock early in the second, Tampa Bay looks to shore up their defense even more as they grab Nasir Adderley out of Deleware.

A small-school prospect, Adderley got hype as both a corner and safety but his best projection is to play safety. And the Bucs are surely in need of a player who can patrol the back end of their secondary.

40. Buffalo Bills: Irv Smith Jr., TE, Alabama

A blue-collar team landed one of the best defensive linemen in the draft as Ed Oliver was there at No. 9 when the Buffalo Bills were on the clock. He’s a defensive tackle capable of destroying offensive linemen and makes an already strong Buffalo defense that much more formidable.

Now, they go out and steal a player who an AFC East foe may want. Dots were connected between Irv Smith, Jr. and the New England Patriots but he lands with the Bills here — who need all the receiving help they can get.
