47. Carolina Panthers: Greg Little, OT, Ole Miss

After going for a defensive lineman in the first round, the Panthers absolutely needed to address the offensive line with this selection. This isn’t to suggest they made a bad move in the first because Brian Burns was a solid pick, but they can’t let the other side of the line of scrimmage go without being addressed. Thankfully for them, a potential starter lasts until Pick No. 47 as another Ole Miss player comes off the board in Greg Little.

At one point he was the premier left tackle prospect, but his star cooled some this season. He also had a less-than-stellar workout. Even with those things happening, this kid can improve the Panthers line immensely.

48. Miami Dolphins: Byron Murphy, CB, Washington

Are they tanking for Tua? The Miami Dolphins had a shot to land a quarterback, which they needed after trading Ryan Tannehill, but they seem content to roll out Ryan Fitzpatrick in 2019. Who knows, maybe the bearded wizard can break out some more of the magic he had early in the 2018 season while he was still with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Of course, if they do hope to win with Fitzpatrick, they have to take the ugly with it. He’s going to go through stretches of horrific play and having a strong defense can help them survive that. In search of a better defense, they add Byron Murphy out of Washington here.
