RB/KR. Memphis. A-. player. Pick Analysis. Tony Pollard. 123. Scouting Report

Pick 128 belonged to the Cowboys and they landed themselves an interesting prospect here in Tony Pollard. With Ezekiel Elliott on the roster, there’s very little need for a bell cow back, but they needed to find someone who could at least spell him.

Pollard can do exactly that, and he knows how to make the most out of minimal touches. He was never the guy at Memphis, but he proved he could do it all when on the field. He had great production per touch and excelled as a pass catcher, which shouldn’t be shocking considering he spent time as a receiver.

Where Pollard really helps though is as a return man. He had an unbelievable seven returns for touchdowns and should be the primary kick returner. With Tavon Austin on their roster as well for punt returns, this could be the best return team Dallas has had in recent memory.

player. Pick Analysis. CB. Miami. C. Scouting Report. Michael Jackson. 123

After trading down twice, Dallas was back on the clock at No. 158. Here, they took Miami cornerback Michael Jackson. At 6-1 and 210 pounds, Jackson looks like a corner defensive back coach Kris Richard would create in a lab.

However, just because he looks the part doesn’t mean this is the right pick. Jackson had four career picks, with none coming in 2018. He struggles with consistency and Dallas left better players on the board to trade down and lose plenty of value. They knocked it out of the park with Pollard but took a step back here.
