8. Tony Pollard, RB, Memphis

Darrell Henderson was the Memphis running back who received all the attention, which was understandable. He was the featured back and parlayed that success into the honor of being drafted in the early portion of the third round by the Los Angeles Rams. However, he may not be the last member of his collegiate backfield to get drafted.

Tony Pollard was a change of pace back for the Tigers who excelled as a pass catcher. He was also effective in short stints for Memphis and added return skills to his résumé as well. Pollard isn’t threatening to be a bell cow, but he could be a huge find for a team needing to add to a committee.

7. Christian Miller, EDGE. Alabama

Playing on the same defense as Quinnen Williams and Raekwon Davis has it’s benefits. So much attention is paid to them that some players can be freed up to make splash plays. It also has its pitfalls as sometimes a good player gets lost in the shadow they cast.

Christian Miller falls into the latter for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He recorded 8.5 sacks in 2018 but remains on the board heading into the final day. Someone will land a great prospect here with the pass rushing specialist who has steadily improved every year and may have his best football ahead of him.
