After waiting a long time before finally making a pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears were busier in the final four rounds. Here are the grades for their picks.

The Chicago Bears were busier on the final day of the 2019 NFL Draft than they were in the first two nights. After making just one pick in the first three rounds, they made four picks between rounds four and seven. Of course, it wouldn’t be a draft without a Ryan Pace trade. He moved up to make his third-round selection. He drafted running back David Montgomery out of Iowa State.

In the fourth round, Pace made a surprising move by going offense again. He went wide receiver with his pick. Many felt the wide receiver corps was strong, but without any glaring holes on the roster, Pace decided to go with the best player available.

Pace continued his history of surprises. He made some picks that no one saw coming. Some of them may contribute this season while others are projects who can make him look even better down the road. He even doubled up in a couple of positions.

I think Pace gets criticism once again. He has a vision for this team that doesn’t mesh with what others feel should be the vision. He continues to do things his way, whether or not it’s the road most others take. So far, we must admit that his way has been working. He built the roster up slowly and now has a division-winning team and one that could compete in the playoffs for seasons to come.

Here are my grades for the Chicago Bears’ final day picks.
